Berlin was a fantastic experience. Sometimes you have to leave the country you're living in just to realise how unbelievably, ridiculously, horrendously expensive it is! Berlin had some great deals, and we came back with almost 25 kilo's of extra luggage! My oh my!
I had some mixed feelings about going back to Berlin. But traveling with Joey was such a fantastic experience.

Is it strange that my favourite kind of meal in Berlin is a Turkish one? |

Stepping out onto Potsdamer Platz and walking around is kind of like roaming through a modernised miniature New York. It's very pretty, and very shiny. I use to go to Potsdamer all the time when I lived in Berlin. But going back was so different this time around. It was nicer, cleaner, better. |

The extravagant and impressive Sony Centre. I'm not one to usually go for gigantic ostentatious structures, but, this one was nice to linger around for a while. |

We happened to roam around Berlin on a day when they were having a gigantic festival that seemed to disappear into the farthest horizon! On the 3rd of October they were celebrating the Day of German Unity, a day that commemorates when the Federal Republic of Germany and the Democratic Republic of Germany came together to crew ate one single federal country. |

Brandenburger Tor
One of the things Joey noticed about Berlin that really caught is eye is how all the electric boxes or "left over structures" that probably serve some clerical purpose were painted over really well. It added dashes of colour here and there to what generally looks like a monochromatic city.
I genuinely regret not having the chance to do this. Just a bunch of people... taking a tour of Berlin... on a parallel bike... with an inbuilt crate of beer.
We did, however, get the chance to go to a real German beer house... Lederhosen and all!
