A few days ago we went to the Thai market at the square in Brugge. We came across this beautifully packaged drink and decided to give it ago.
We had given up on drinking coconuts in Europe, however, this little cleverly designed box contained Pearl Royal: Coconut Water which is amazing! A burst of pure coconut flavour with a tint of vanilla.
We're going to hunt down some more.
Coconut water is very refreshing to drink during spring/summer, moreover, it is action packed with electrolytes, minerals (to replenish hydration levels in the body) and it contains simple sugar.
Recent claims have shown that coconut water can be a blood plasma substitute!
Coconut water has become a trend in the past few years (you can find a bunch of variety in the U.S. at the grocery store). Even though it's not as good as the ones in Southeast Asia, it's better than nothing. Can't live without coconut water.
ReplyDeleteWe love it as well! It's so refreshing and very healthy! I miss real coconuts (straight from the tree) in Bali but until then this will have to suffice! Where is the coconut where you are imported from?
