Summer in Brugge

If there is anything that should not be taken for granted, it is a sun ray in Brugge. So you can imagine my excitement when experiencing summer here, not only is it vastly different from the grey, wet, freezing cold weather of a depressing winter, but it is action packed with fun, musical, strange, festivals with an eclectic range of themes. And of course, and eclectic taste in alcohol.

As the weather now slowly but surely in it's snail like pace reverts back to colder days, I can't help but hear the echo of a voice resonating in the far distance of my imagination, to steal a quote from the Game of Thrones... "Winter is Coming"!
Ah! The very phrase sends shivers down my spine, the thought is cringe worthy and dispiriting. Nevertheless, the sun is still streaming through the crevices of this proverbial box; the colours of summer still greet me, although now bitterly withering away like watercolour on a spoiled canvas.

I regretfully put on another pullover, soon I shall drowning in layers again fighting the daggers the cold air brings. Until then, I'll bask in the rays that weave though clouds, intervals that seem to go on and on forever.

I'll savour the warmth, the colours, and the overall ambiance that Brugge offers in the summer time... while I still can.
